Privacy Policy
Habite is built on a simple principle: your data belongs to you. Almost everything stays on your device. Here is exactly what we do and do not collect.
Short version: Habite stores all your food logs, routines, and app data locally on your device. We do not run servers that store your personal information. The only data that leaves your phone is what you send when you use the AI food lookup feature.
1. Who We Are
Habite is a product of Hella Studios. You can reach us at help@hellastudios.games with any privacy questions.
2. Data Stored on Your Device
The following data is created and stored exclusively on your device using local storage. It is never transmitted to Hella Studios or any third party, except as described in Section 3.
- Your food log entries (foods, calories, macros, dates)
- Your personal food library
- Your calorie goals and routine settings
- Your scheduled cheat days
- Your streak and adherence history
- Any app preferences or settings you configure
Deleting the app from your device permanently deletes all of this data. We have no way to recover it.
3. AI Food Lookup
When you use the Auto feature to look up a food item, the name of the food you type is sent to a third-party AI service to retrieve calorie and macro information. No other information (your identity, your food history, your goals) is sent with this request.
This request is processed by Anthropic. See Anthropic's privacy policy for details on how they handle data.
You can use Habite entirely without the AI lookup by entering nutritional information manually. The feature is optional.
4. Data We Do Not Collect
To be explicit: Hella Studios does not collect, store, or have access to:
- Your name, email address, or any account credentials (there are no accounts)
- Your location
- Your food history or logs
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
- Crash reports or diagnostics
- Any device identifiers
5. App Store
Habite is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. When you download or purchase the app, Apple and Google collect information according to their own privacy policies. We do not control or have access to that data.
6. Children
Habite is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top and, where possible, notify you through the app. Continued use of Habite after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
