Terms of Service

1. About Typecast

Typecast is a party game app developed and published by Hella Studios. It is available on iOS and Android. These Terms of Service apply to the Typecast mobile application and any related services or websites operated by Hella Studios.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Typecast on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the app.

3. Your Data

All personal game data (match history, scores, preferences) is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for your own data. Deleting the app deletes your data permanently. Hella Studios has no access to this data and cannot recover it.

Temporary multiplayer session data (display name, tropes, scores) is shared with other players during an active game session only. See our Privacy Policy for details.

4. Game Content

All trope libraries, genre packs, and game content in Typecast are owned by Hella Studios. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit any game content outside of the app. Trope libraries are curated by Hella Studios and are subject to change.

5. Free to Play

Typecast is free to download and play. We reserve the right to introduce optional paid features or content in the future. Any such changes will be clearly communicated and will not remove access to the core game.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Typecast in any way that:

• Violates any applicable law or regulation
• Attempts to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app
• Cheats, exploits, or manipulates game sessions in a way that degrades the experience for other players
• Harasses or interferes with other players

7. Intellectual Property

Typecast, its name, logo, trope libraries, and all related content are owned by Hella Studios and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership to you.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Typecast is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted. Your use of the app is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hella Studios will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Typecast, including loss of data.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Washington state.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of Typecast after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
